Having used a wide variety of infusers, strainers, and presses for loose tea, this is by far the best way I have found to make a single cup of tea. Not only is the strainer one of the best I've used, it's also one of the easiest to clean - and for me, that's an extremely important feature. This strainer also has the added benefit of containing even the smallest of loose tea particles.

I did have some concern that the nylon strainer segments might separate from the plastic strainer housing, but even after hand washing the set after each use, day after day for over a year now, the strainer is still intact and holding up quite well. The nylon strainer mesh does darken a little after a few months of use, but the plastic housing is still the same color as it was when new.

The cup works exceptionally well at insulating your hand from the piping hot contents and is also visually appealing. However, the hand-blown glass does seem quite delicate. I haven't dropped it and have only hand washed the set. So far the cup has no cracks or chips..

The cover is a nice added touch that insulates and protect the tea as it steeps. It also functions as a rest to set the infuser on as you enjoy a nice cup of tea!

Don't hesitate to get this set if you're looking for a stylish, functional, easy to clean tea infuser.

And one other thing: This thing is REALLY, REALLY green - which happens to be a color that I like a lot!

This is a great tea cup, and it performs exactly as I expected. I use this at work for tea throughout the day. Prior to buying this cup, I used a regular mug with a steel mesh tea basket, which looked really gross whenever anyone would come by my desk. This cup looks so much better and cleaner, and the coaster means I always have somewhere convenient to put the tea basket. The mesh on the strainer does get stained by the tea, especially if you drink black tea, but that's to be expected. After about a month of use, my strainer is a light beige, instead of the fresh white that it was when it arrived.

The cup also keeps the water/tea warm for a long time, so I don't have to worry about my tea getting cold before I can drink it. On the downside, it takes longer for the hot water to cool enough for green and white teas.

Overall, I'm really happy with this cup.

It feels a bit delicate so I wash it carefully by hand -- it usually just needs a quick rinse in hot water. I have an orange one and a black one. I prefer the orange one because the orange strainer makes the tea look more appetizing and makes it easier to tell when the tea has steeped enough. I would recommend without reservations.

This Bodum tea for one looks cool and portions tea out well so you get a perfect cuppa for one person. You don't need to use a lot of leaves in the strainer to get the desired taste--as I learned when I thought "that's not enough!" and put in more, leading to wicked strong tea--maybe a small spoonful. Then you just pour the hot water in the strainer and wait for it to steep. Boom! Plus, the glass stays comfortable to touch even if the tea inside is very hot. I'm using it right now.

I was quite surprised how well it sealed out the hot water inside while the tea was steeping, allowing me to carry it into another room. It also kept the tea very warm for quite some time. This works fine for it's intended purpose. The mesh is small enough on the strainer that it won't let particulates into your loose leaf teas. The issues that I have with this product is that they also have put holes in the base of the strainer which is made of plastic. These holes are just large enough that they will let small amounts of particulates into your tea. I understand that most likely the holes are there to help the water drain better when you use a tea that can clog the mesh easily. If you do use this with any loose leaf tea then preferably you'll want to use something that doesn't have many really small pieces that won't get filtered because of the holes in the base of the strainer.

The Cup itself is great, I love the double wall glass. I don't need to worry about the outer wall getting hot at all. Another nice thing is that you don't have to deal with condensations, the double wall has eliminated this. It does feel flimsy, but it has stood up to normal treatment without issues. I'm guessing it only feels flimsy to me because it is so light. I'd give the cup 5 stars, but the Strainer 3 stars. However that doesn't equal 4 stars in the end for me because I bought this for the stainer more than anything.

The glass is great aswell. I already bought a 2 piece glass set and was looking for a good tea infuser, sadly I couldnt find this paticular infuser sold seperately without the glass but thats ok because they are great and now I have an extra glass.
