The Territory of Tea Golden Lily Milk Oolong (4 oz)

Harvest Date: February 2015 This Jin Xuan Oolong tea from the mountains of Taiwan belongs to the improved variety of Taiwan Oolong teas. It is grown at higher elevations, which creates a natural milky aroma. Jin Xuan is a tea varietal developed in Taiwan in the 1980s. Also known as Taiwan #12, Jin Xuan tea has light-green, oval-shaped leaves, and is resistant to a wide variety of diseases and pests while producing a greater yield than other varietals. Jin Xuan tea leaves are lightly roasted during processing, which creates a unique milk flavor which is called nai xiang or milk oolong. This is a natural fragrance without adding any artificial spice. Our Jin Xuan Oolong tea is directly imported from a cultivator in Nantou county of central Taiwan, which is located at about 1000 meters above the sea level. This high elevation provides ideal growing conditions for this Jin Xuan Oolong tea as the air remains cool year round. Please Note: This tea is natural, there are no milky additives as can often be found in many “milk oolongs”. Therefore, the taste and aroma are light and subtle. If you are used to artificially flavored milky oolongs – this might not taste “creamy” enough to you.
