Tetley purchases millions of pounds of tea each week for our different blends of tea. These teas come from as many as 35 different countries and as many as 10,000 different estates. Tetley selects only the finest tea leaves to produce our exceptional quality blends. Tetley tea tasters, who are responsible for buying and blending our teas, taste up to 1,000 different teas per day to determine their suitability. Our team of buyers and blenders are acknowledged as one of the most expert in the world, with over 80 years of experience between them.

Starting production out of his basement in 1983, John began his own journey in mastering the craft of tea blending. Serving his distinctive blends to inn guests, he soon found they were coming back for more. Never did John Harney imagine that his small home-run business in Salisbury, Connecticut would turn into a global operation. The company, which sources, blends, and packages their own product from start to finish, has grown from their original six teas, to more than three hundred. Harney & Sons was founded on a commitment to deliver customers the finest quality tea possible. This promise, made 30 years ago, serves as the company’s guiding principle. This blend comes from the Assam region of India. The geology of Scotland produces mainly soft water that can have a dulling effect on tea. To prevent this, Taylors created Scottish Breakfast, a “thick” and strong cup of tea with a rich malty taste. The flavor works very well with soft water. Best served with milk, an ideal breakfast tea.

Prince of Wales is a pure China black tea sourced from regions including the Yunnan province and other southern regions of China. This blend is light in color and has a smooth and mild taste, with a well-rounded character. Great in the late morning or in the afternoon, it is perfect with or without milk and can be sweetened to taste.
Harney and Sons Decaf Hot Cinnamon, Decaf Flavored Black – 20 Sachets per Tin We’ve had numerous requests for a decaf version of our Hot Cinnamon Spice, and we are happy to say it is now available. Same assertive flavor, only decaf! People sometimes think we add sugar or sweeteners to this tea, BUT WE DO NOT. The sweetness comes from the cinnamon. Please enjoy this tea! Dry Leaves: Decaffeinated tea from Ceylon is the base of this blend, combined with orange peel, cloves, and ground cinnamon. Liquor: This tea has a light brown liquor, lighter than the caffeinated version. Aroma: Like its caffeinated counter-part, this tea smells strongly of spices, particularly of cinnamon and clove. Caffeine Level: Decaffeinated Body: This has less body than our regular Hot Cinnamon Spice, but is still strong. Flavors: Strong spicy flavors accent this black tea.
