- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2015This little teapot holds enough for a couple of decent-sized mugs of tea. It's perfect for two, or one tea-addict, heh. The diffuser basket isn't the most stellar workmanship I've ever experienced in my life, but it'll do. The basket is perfectly suitable for black, green, or any sort of herbal, but with rooibos I've found it sneaks through the cracks a bit. Not enough to be that big of a deal, but it can be a bit annoying.
Now, the teapot is glass with a plastic handle/bottom/lid. If you're keen on washing it after every use, you'll find that water can get stuck in between the glass and the plastic, and slowly leak out later. Personally, I don't fully submerge my pot with soap and water every use, so it's not a problem for me, as a quick rinse is fine. But keep this in mind if that's something you do.
The real winner for me with this pot is that it keeps my tea warm for a surprisingly long time (with the lid on). I'm not sure if this is average, but for a small and light pot, my tea was still warm after 75+ minutes. It's quite nice to drink a cup and when I pour another it's still pleasantly warm. Also: no leaks. Keep the lid on when you pour, and keep light pressure on it while tilting, but otherwise, it's a great little pot for the price.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2017This pot is a little smaller thank I was wanting, but I've gotta tell ya, it's a REALLY nice size! I think it's going to work for me just fine. Here are the things I like about it-- in addition to the price, which is awesome: (1) The glass bowl is will protected by the plastic frame. (2) the handle is wide enough to control the pot even full of very hot water (3) the solid plastic frame protect the back of my fingers from the heat while pouring (4) The little lid fits perfectly (5) the strainer has plenty VERY TINY holes -- more than enough to do the job, and do it well of keeping tea leaves out of the my teacup (6) Light weight, so no strain on my bad shoulder (7) Has a foot on the bottom, which keeps the heat off my table top (8) the pouring lip absolutely cuts off the flow of the liquid so THERE ARE NO DRIPS!!!
Great job of design and engineering, guys! My hat's off to you!!!

- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2015Nice little teapot for one or two cups at an extra-nice price. The basket could use a finer mesh, as it allows tiny fragments of tea leaves to escape. But at the price who can complain over what is really a very minor issue in the larger scheme of things-- tea leaves aren't exactly toxic, and the remains are so tiny I only know they're there from examining the bottom of the cup when finished. In fact, they may even be good for you! This exact same pot is sold for considerably more elsewhere under at least one well-known brand name, and I bet they're not ashamed of it.
Hint-- another reviewer complains that it dribbles. Use the lid, and it won't.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2015I drink blooming tea. It's a fun tea to serve guests and I am a pretty hardcore tea enthusiast, so, i've owned (and broken) lots of different glass teapots. Some glass teapots have a sit in infuser that the lid fits into. This is inconvenient for blooming tea because sometimes the lid won't fit on with the infuser out of the teapot, and the blooming tea balls look less elegant inside an infuser (and you really don't need one) One of the (admittedly more attractive) glass teapots that I own presents this problem, and so i bought this for use exclusively for the blooming teas.
for that purpose it is excellent! The black backdrop actually makes the tea look more dramatic as it unfurls, and the plastic lid and handle are great for people that have had a history of breaking the handles, lid's and infusers of their previous teapots. The pour was fine for me, I didn't spill anything. Probably because I am a person who owns lots of Chinese teapots and drinks out of asian style cups, the size is fine for me. This teapot is, in my opinion, fine for two people. Individuals accustomed to drinking out of european style 40 oz teapots may not agree, but I like to keep refilling my pot because that ensures that the tea is hot and fresh.
all of this having been said....the teapot is an excellent price! It is a great basic teapot for your blooming teas, and one that you will be less likely to break and and up throwing away!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2016I have used other tea balls that look exactly the same as this, but this one is made much more flimsy. The mesh tea holder insert is very cheaply made. It had metal "strings" poking out that nearly punctured my finger during washing. It began leaking my loose leaf tea into the pot after only a few uses. I was very gentle with it, as it was so flimsy, so I'm sure I didn't damage it. You get what you pay for. Invest in something of better quality.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2018cute shape but has some flaws. There is one metal screw at the top that is prone to rust. Also the mesh is very fine, causing water to back up when filling. Finally, fine dust can settle between the clear and opaque plastic, and there's no way to clean it out, so the whole thing looks grungy over time
But has a good shape and pours well
